Where do you start when you are asked to re-design the branding for Grand Master, multi-award winning commercial photographer Geoff Comfort? Although it was intimidating at first, I discovered that working with a fellow creative who has a similar approach to art as myself was an advantage. I wanted his branding to illustrate both his professionalism as well as his personal style.
His award-winning work is predominantly architectural and aerial photography. These images all have a similar style. They are often composed of geometric shapes and lines and are always very graphical in nature. I have included some of the images below which inspired me as I developed his brand.
The end product is a simple, modern improvement on his previous logo. The old logo was already well-recognised so I wanted the new brand to still be easily identified as the same business. By using similar colours and fonts, but developing a new more effective and relevant icon, I feel I have successfully rebranded this business to reflect Geoff Comfort’s professionalism and expertise. The end result is an effective and beautiful looking design which satisfied the client and one I am proud of.
Below shows the original logo and the images by Geoff Comfort Photography which served as inspiration for the development of his new brand.
